🍿 The Waitz Elementary Popcorn Fundraiser is here from February 24 – March 10! Support our amazing students by grabbing a bag (or two!) of delicious Pop-A-Corn popcorn for just $10.
🌟 Students who sell 10 or more bags will earn an invitation to our exciting Moon Jump Celebration!

📚✨ Get Ready for Read Across America Week! ✨📚
Join us March 2–6 as we celebrate the joy of reading with a week full of fun dress-up days inspired by our favorite stories!
From hats for Dr. Seuss to wacky outfits and reading with a friend — there’s something exciting planned for every day. Check out the flyer for themed dress-up days and help us make reading even more fun!

*Participation is optional. Students are welcome to wear their school uniform as usual.

💖 Waitz Elementary Kids Heart Challenge! 💖
This fun and meaningful event is our school’s service project in partnership with the American Heart Association. Students will learn healthy habits while helping children with special hearts and supporting families in our community.

South Texas AuthorCon is happening February 14, 2026, from 10 AM–2 PM at the Mission Event Center—and it’s FREE! 🎉
Meet local authors and illustrators, grab a free book and poster (while supplies last), and enjoy a fun day celebrating reading and creativity! 📚

🗓️ Heads up, Mission CISD! There will be no school for students and staff on Monday, February 9, 2026. Enjoy the day off, and we'll see you back in class on Tuesday, February 10!

🤠 Saddle up, Mission CISD families! Pre-K Round-Up is coming February 16–20, 2026. Stop by any of our 14 Mission CISD elementary schools between 8–11 a.m. or 1–3 p.m. to learn more about our full-day PK3/PK program.
