Waitz Reading Rally

Monday, May 29th
Students will participate in a book parade with special guest Michael Mireles. Michael is a former Waitz student and has recently received the Presidential Award along with a full scholarship to Brown University.

Mother's Day Celebration

Monday, May 15, 2017
You are invited to join us for our Mother's Day Celebration from 8:30 am - 10:30 am. Moms will be treated to a performance from the Mission High School Mariachi group and from the Waitz choir. We will also have a craft activity in the library after the show.

STAAR Testing

May 8 - 10, 2017
Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will be taking their STAAR state exams in Math, Reading, and Science. Please make sure your child is well rested, eats a good breakfast, and arrives at school on time on these testing days.

March 2, 2017
The Texas Book Festival will present the following authors at our campus:
James Luna, Steven Weinberg, and Diana Lopez. Students in all grade levels will attend an author presentation and receive their own signed copy of the author's book.

Our students in 3rd - 5th grade will attend Career Day in the Staff Development room. They will get a chance to interact with professionals from our community and hear about each profession.
